Common questions
What is the passport validity requirement?
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after your return date. Most countries will not let you enter unless it expires at least six months after the final day of travel.
Do I need a visa?
Canadian, American, and UK citizens do not need a tourist visa for Mexico. Guests traveling from India: if you hold a valid Canadian or U.S. visa, you can get a visa on arrival in Mexico. If you do not, apply for a Mexican visa in advance. For entry details, check VisaHQ, the U.S. Passport Holder guidance, Canadian Passport Holder guidance, or the official Mexican Consulate visa information.
Do I need travel insurance?
We highly recommend it. Trip cancellation insurance must be purchased at booking or within 48 hours of booking. Cancellations 21 days or more before arrival are fully refundable; from 20 days in, you are charged one night at the group rate. See Cancellation policy above, and Destawed’s terms and conditions.
What will show on my credit card statement after booking?
When you fill out the forms, you authorize Destawed Inc. as your travel agency to process payment on behalf of the chosen supplier. The charge will appear from either that airline/supplier or Destawed Inc.
When will I receive e-tickets and travel documents?
E-documents are issued by the tour operator 5–7 business days before travel. Once we receive them, we send them to the email address on file.
What is Haldi?
Family and friends apply a paste of turmeric, sandalwood, and rosewater to the bride and groom—usually both. Turmeric is known for purifying and healing properties. It symbolizes blessings, protection, and prosperity, and gives the couple a natural glow before the wedding day.
What is Sangeet / Mehndi?
Sangeet is a festive evening of music and dancing with family and friends. At Mehndi, the bride’s hands and feet are adorned with intricate henna—guests may get designs too. It celebrates the union of two families. Henna is believed to bring good luck, prosperity, and protection, and represents joy, beauty, and the bond of marriage.
